Technical Artist
As a Technical Artist in Skeleton Crew Studio you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to art related challenges in varying technical environments. You will design technical specs and process guidelines, work closely with artists and programmers and deliver high quality and scalable solutions to a variety of challenges in different projects.
What will you be doing?
- Serve as a bridge between Artists, Programmers, Designers, and Project Managers in order to smoothly achieve project artistic goals within technical limitations
- Create, alter, and maintain internal and external facing art pipelines
- Leverage Unity’s Universal Render Pipeline for maximizing visual quality and performance of low-end(mobile) and high-end(desktop) experiences
- Create shaders and materials for artists
- Work in 2D and 3D DCC tools to create, optimize, and modify art assets
- Create optimized visual effects for games and experiences on low-end and high-end platforms
What do you bring?
- Firm understanding of Unity, primarily the Universal Rendering Pipeline
- Expertise in both writing and using node graphs to create shaders
- Experience with 2D and 3D art applications (i.e. Photoshop, GIMP, Blender, Maya, etc. )
- Ability to read, write, and maintain C# code
- Ability to visualize, produce, and implement real-time VFX
- Desire to refine and optimize art pipelines
- Must be self-motivated and able to identify and address issues in a clear and concise manner
- Must be capable of cooperating and communicating effectively with members both inside and outside of the core development team
